On October 7, 2026, the University of Prishtina will host the 4InnoPipe2 Masterclass “Sustainability That Matters: Mastering Double Materiality,” led by sustainability and corporate responsibility expert Marie-Lou Manca.

In today’s business environment, sustainability is no longer only about impact – it is increasingly connected to business performance, risk exposure, resilience, and long-term competitiveness. Yet organisations often face a key challenge: understanding where to start, what to prioritise, and how to translate sustainability analysis into meaningful action.

This full-day masterclass will introduce participants to a structured and practical approach to Double Materiality, helping them identify the sustainability topics that truly matter for an organisation and understand how they affect both business performance and the wider environment and society.

Through engaging inputs, a real case study and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to map value chains, identify and prioritise Impacts, Risks and Opportunities (IROs), build a materiality matrix, develop effective stakeholder engagement strategies, and translate Double Materiality Assessment results into strategic direction and meaningful communication.

The programme will guide participants step by step from understanding why sustainability belongs in the boardroom to applying Double Materiality in practice and turning assessment results into concrete strategic action.

About the trainer

Marie-Lou Manca is an expert in sustainability and corporate responsibility with more than ten years of experience managing international and multi-stakeholder projects. Her professional experience spans the private sector and academia and includes sustainability strategy development, public-private programme implementation, grant management, and corporate reporting, particularly in the oil & gas and agri-food sectors.

The masterclass is designed for professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in sustainability who wants to gain a structured and practical understanding of Double Materiality and sustainability transformation.
