What does it really take to succeed in entrepreneurial, innovative, and fast-changing environments?
Great ideas and technical expertise matter – but they are rarely enough. Success also requires understanding what drives you, having the confidence to act when the answer is not obvious, managing pressure effectively, and knowing how to work with people who may think very differently from you.
As part of the 4InnoPipe2 project, the course Entrepreneurial Mindset and People Skills offers a highly interactive learning experience focused on developing the human skills behind successful entrepreneurship, leadership, and collaboration.
Throughout the course, participants will explore how to better understand their strengths, values, motivations, and limitations; build self-efficacy and confidence in decision-making; understand what drives motivation and performance; manage stress and perform under pressure; and develop stronger communication, feedback, conflict management, and teamwork skills.
This is not a course where you simply sit and listen. Through reflection, peer discussions, real-life challenges, feedback, and the Collective Learning Presentation, participants will connect academic concepts with situations they are likely to encounter in their professional and entrepreneurial lives.
At the heart of the course is one important question:
What can we learn from one another that we could not learn alone?
Meet the Professor – Dr. Mirna Koričan Lajtman
The course will be led by Dr. Mirna Koričan Lajtman, Professor at Luxembourg School of Business (LSB), where she teaches courses in Human Resources and Management.
Dr. Koričan Lajtman holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, with research focusing on work-life conflict, organizational factors, and employee commitment. She also holds an MA in Psychology and an MBA, bringing together expertise in psychology, management, human resources, and organizational behaviour.
Her international academic experience includes study visits at St. Ambrose University and John Carroll University in the United States, as well as IESE Business School in Spain. She is also a visiting professor at ESB Business School, Reutlingen University.
In addition to her academic work, Dr. Koričan Lajtman has participated in European projects, authored numerous research papers, translated books in the fields of human resources and business economics, and regularly delivers professional education and training in Croatia and across the region.
Her combination of academic expertise, international experience, and practical approach makes her particularly well suited to guide participants through the personal and interpersonal dimensions of entrepreneurial success.
