University of Prishtina Hosts Masterclass on Sustainability and Double Materiality

On October 7, 2026, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina hosted the masterclass “Sustainability That Matters: Mastering Double Materiality”, led by Marie Lou from ELEKS, as part of the 4InnoPipe2 Innovation and Sustainability Days 2026. Around 40 participants, including staff from partner universities and students of the University of Prishtina, received training on sustainability and double materiality.

The full-day programme explored the role of sustainability in business performance, risk management and competitiveness. Participants examined business models and value chains as foundations for double materiality assessment, alongside approaches to identifying and describing sustainability-related impacts, risks and opportunities.

The masterclass also addressed how to prioritise sustainability issues, build a materiality matrix and translate assessment into action through stakeholder engagement and disclosure. Bringing university staff and students together, the event provided an opportunity for shared learning on integrating sustainability into organisational and business decision-making.
