Where
A study visit is a rare opportunity to witness first-hand how innovation, education, and business collaboration function across different ecosystems – and to bring these insights back to one’s own academic and professional environment.
Academia & industry
Research collaborations, student-led projects, and programmes co-created with industry partners.
Knowledge exchange
Dialogue with international experts and fresh approaches to teaching and research.
Networking
Connections and relationships that continue long after the visit has ended.
Global perspective
A broader view of the trends shaping education and entrepreneurship worldwide.
At the IFE Conference in Monterrey, Futures Thinking and Systems Thinking were already deeply embedded in academic and business discussions. What stood out most was the close, natural relationship between universities and companies – innovation ecosystems at their best, where collaboration is continuous rather than exceptional.
“Study visits create space for reflection and inspiration. They help participants feel the gap between what we know and how the world actually works.” Dr Monika Sońta
These experiences strengthen the connection between theory and practice – the very essence of becoming a pracademic. Participants return with sharper questions, a readiness to challenge existing ways of thinking, and a network of contacts that can prove invaluable for years to come.
Initiatives such as EIT 4InnoPipe2 demonstrate how international mobility and collaboration can genuinely support innovation, knowledge sharing, and the development of future-oriented skills – across Europe and beyond.
